About Rana Burr

Rana Burr, the main author of this site, is a stay-at-home mother of four beautiful children. In addition to smart-money-management.com, she operates several other successful websites with topics ranging from music therapy to autism. She is known as an Expert writer for Ezine Articles, and for her contributions to Squidoo and other forums.

Rana is a graduate of Debt-Free and Prosperous Living by Financial Independence Network Limited. She has also completed the Millionaire Mind Intensive offered through Peak Potential. Her knowledge of the money management arena is extensive and based mostly on her vast personal experiences.

Besides her websites, Rana Burr is the organizer of a parent support group for families affected by autism. She is an active member of her church and local community.

Rana knows all too well the importance of having a sound money management plan. After resigning from her music therapy position with the birth of her first child, money was extremely tight. Her husband was an ensign in the Navy at the time and it was difficult to make ends meet on his small salary.

That was when she found tools which allowed her to track her expenditures according to each category of her budget.

At the same time, she began investigating alternative sources of income, online and off. She found that while there were many options, not all of them would produce the kind of income she wanted without draining her already limited resources.

So Rana began to educate herself on other topics that would fuel her desire to contribute to her family's finances. She found that the more she knew about marketing and copywriting, the better equipped she was to compete in the global economy with whatever it was she was doing.

Now she and her husband enjoy prosperity on many levels. Owning several homes across the country, they enjoy a modest lifestyle so that they can continue to invest heavily in their future and the future of their children.

To someone starting out with the seemingly daunting task of money management, Rana says, "Manage what you have, even if it is just a dollar. Do it well, believing that you will have more to manage soon. Take it one step at a time and never close the door on learning new ways to make and manage money."
