Money Management Software

When it comes to money management software, there are many options available. Most traditional budgeting systems require you to set ‘target’ amounts for each of your expenses and then, as time passes, you recorded ‘actual’ amounts beside those targets. This can be an extremely slow and tedious process that does not appear to be changing the fact most people continue to have financial difficulties.

Even if you regularly receive and review your bank statement, all you are doing is seeing a backward view of your bank account. This does not help anyone plan for regular or unseen expenses. What people really need is a way to look forward.

There is a home budgeting software program out there that allows you to prepare your perfect bank statement for the next year in advance, showing you exactly where your finances need to be up to every day along the way. All you have to do is follow the numbers. This makes managing money the Smart Money Management way extremely easy.

The difference is, instead of placing your money into five different accounts, it gets you to place your expenses into three logical groups: 'Regular' expenses, 'Long-Term' expenses, and 'Savings' items.

Then, at the press of a button the computer calculates a plan that shows you how to meet all of these expenses for the next year in advance. It factors in all of the “ups” and “downs” of your bank balance and makes sure money is available at the time it is needed for all of the bills and activities you budgeted for. All you then have to do is check from time to time to make sure you stay on or above the path you have planned.

So the bottom line is, if you want to use Quicken, Money, or Excel, that is fine--it is better than nothing. But if you want to have a "crystal ball for your bank account" for the next year in advance, showing you how to successfully meet all of your commitments, then you will want to check out Simply Budgets . It may be the only money management software you ever need.
